2007 Tundra that I hoped to keep as a personal vehicle to tow a car trailer. However insurance rates to cover the trailer is dissuading me. I bought it because it runs / drives perfect, solid! New rims/ good tires, newer brakes. Looks great underneath. Tow package.
I am finding people are becoming more nervous about " online sales ".

I will briefly explain my free delivery routine below. I realize the knee jerk reaction is usually " no way ". However after learning about it , about 80 percent of my customers choose to take advantage of it. Big car companies are starting to use what I have been doing since 2006.

- Zero! Rubbish fees snuck in last min. So many dealers advertise at low prices , and then add " internet/ doc / admin/ advertising / preparation / delivery fees etc. Or they will say your credit score would have to qualify for the advertised price, financed through them. Another tactic is that once you arrive that car has suddenly been put on deposit, and they quickly try to turn your attention to another vehicle. There are tons of tricks to get you in the door.
-Sales tax is not paid to me, but rather to your State at time of registration.

A note to folks shopping for cars, while focusing on mainly an ODOmeter reading. I have owned close to 1000 Volvos.There are dozens of reasons mileage is a NoN issue. However I'll share some inside baseball. I very often see vehicles with 50-90k miles, with oil change stickers indicating the car is 6000-18,000 ( was longest) overdue. It seems to me that there are a great many people who don't have time or inclination to service a vehicle *when they know they are just going to trade it in. I see dealers clamber to buy these cars. I am able to follow what happens to them online. They are puffed up , oil changed, and sold at ridiculously high prices. I personally buy cars that I can see some history of. Get a clean Volvo with good history / keep the $ in your pocket I say :)
OPTIONAL DELIVERY SERVICE FREE in New England / NY. Unless you are located more than 8 hours away from central MA etc.
A great many car buyers enjoy that I provide an option that provides relief from dealership shopping.
Others find themselves in a pinch after an accident or breakdown. I often deliver cars purchased out of the USA/ or out of New England parents to their children enrolled in New England / New York/ Cape / Island and Universities.
My usual requirement of asking for a small non refundable deposit before I arrange delivery is primarily to filter out the “ tire kickers” or the people who are looking for company for a Sunday drive. I need to have some good faith skin into the game before I free up my dealer plate and pay 2 people ( chase car) to bring the car to your door.
I’ve delivered hundreds of cars and never had one turned away. One referral I can send is from a 93 years young, repeat customer in Lubec Maine, the easternmost town in the USA, so don’t be deterred by distance.
TEST DRIVE the car when it arrives. If the car arrives not as described , You don't hand over the payment.
~ re: delivery please include your zip code and info on any old vehicle you're looking to get rid of ( that could make the ride back to MA if need be.) If your old car has value ( most need more repairs than value ) I can sell it on consignment. Often it's convenient for you to use the plates from your old one to transfer registration / save on sales tax.
FYI , You do not have to pay for the car beforehand. Once you show interest in a particular car I’m going to let you know my thoughts on it. Each deal has unique aspects, so I’m unable to cover everything here.
