The book documents their lives; the challenges they face, decisions they make and the results of those decisions. Set in the streets of Gaborone, this novel puts the spotlight on socioeconomic challenges and pressures faced by young people today. It provides guidance to the next wave of teenagers, that not all that glitters is gold.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Tyler Majaga is a Student, published writer, blogger and freelance journalist for a local newspaper.
The 23 year old was born in the city of Francistown but was raised by a maternal aunt in the village of Molepolole from the age of two, before moving to Gaborone with his mother. Writing was something Tyler was good at from his formative years, but the idea of doing it professionally dawned later.
The young writer completed his first novel, EPISODE ONE: HUMBLE BEGINNINGS, during his senior school years at Matshekge Hill School in Bobonong. The manuscript was put on ice as he enrolled for studies at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology. A year later he dropped out of the course and published his first novel. Three years later, he enrolled with AFDA School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance, where he is currently studying for a BA Motion Picture Medium. His second release, BLUE SKIES IN THE SOUTH: PREMISE was released in 2016 during his second year of studies at AFDA.
